We believe that on holiday – the most precious time of the year - families should spend an unforgettable, intimate, conscious time together.
That's why at Hotel Schweigl in Santa Valburga, instead of children's entertainment, we prefer to offer play and entertainment areas for children and teenagers, funny toys & games and lots of good tips for family experiences in Val d'Ultimo and South Tyrol:

Plenty of space for the little ones

Inside, a playroom for toddlers with entertaining toys; outside, many pedal vehicles, including a tractor, a scooter, a go-kart, a fire engine, bicycles and much more. There is also a public playground 100 metres from Hotel Schweigl.
Fancy a bike tour? You can rent mountain bikes, child seats and bike trailers at our hotel! Furthermore, we have cots, high chairs and a baby carrier available.

For teenagers & young-at-heart adults

A cool Teen Club with with table football, Fun4Four gaming table, Nintendo Wii console, community & board games & chill out corner with WiFi. The perfect place to chill out, hang out with friends and play games when it's raining outside or you don't feel like going to the mountains, on a city tour or visiting a museum with your parents.

Hiking tips

How about a mountain hike to the rustic Riemerbergl alpine hut (2,049 m) or to the Fiecht alpine hut (2,037 m)? Or would you prefer to take the cable car up to the Schwemmalm? When you get off, you can see the trampolines and the Adventure Pond - fun is guaranteed! Another good idea is a leisurely walk around the Lake Zoccolo.
Foodies should definitely try the yummy cuisine of the Steinrast alpine hut (1,723 m) – your palate will thank you! Whether with or without the buggy - we have a long list of hiking tips for families and are happy to share them with you.

Where to start? From the MondoTreno in Rablà to the Animal World Rainguthof in Gfrill/Caprile and the Adventure Park in Caldaro, the Gufyland - Bird Care Centre at Tyrol Castle - or the alpine coaster "Alpinbob" in Merano 2000 - the list is loooong! Do you have any questions? We‘re happy to help!

What if it rains?

Don't worry, there’s always something to do - either at Hotel Schweigl (wellness area, playroom, music corner, bar), in the Ultental Valley, e.g. at the Climbing Hall in S. Pancrazio, at the Ultimo Valley Museum in S. Niccolò or at the Lahnersäge National Park House in S. Gertrude, or in South Tyrol, e.g. at the Naturno Adventure Pool, at the Raffeiner Orchid World in Gargazzone or at the Easyjump Trampoline Parkin Egna. Otherwise, you can visit a city in the surroundings, auch as Merano or Bolzano!
